If you are in need of an electrical estimates, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We are more than happy to provide you with all of the information that you need, including an Estimate over the phone for the majority of electrical jobs.
We believe that you do not need to be pressured to choose us as your electrical company. You should have the freedom to choose the electrician that is the best fit for you.
We are able to give Estimates over the phone if your job is for installing new components such as:
- Panel upgrades
- House rewires
- Ceiling fans
- Switches, dimmers or electrical outlets
- Light fixtures
- Chargers for electric cars
- Air conditioner hook-ups
- All other installations (not repairs) of new electrical components
If you need to have an electrical component repaired, such as a switch or outlet, we may have to do extensive work to troubleshoot the work and will not be able to provide an Estimate over the phone.
How are you able to give me an estimate over-the-phone for very large jobs such as house rewires or electrical panel upgrades?
After a short questionnaire regarding the size of your home and other basic information, we will be able to give you a very rough estimate over the phone. If you would like to move forward with the job, a technician will be sent out to your business or home. After he takes a closer look at your electrical system, he will provide you with a firm written bid. If you accept the bid, we will then find a mutually convenient time to schedule the job.
Are you able to provide an over-the-phone estimate for the installation of an electric car charger?
Absolutely. This type of installation starts around $200 and goes up from there. One of the main factors is the distance from your garage or carport to the electrical panel. If you would like more information, we will send an electrician to full assess the job. He’ll choose the best place to place the charger and determine whether or not your electrical panel can support the additional load. After he is done, he will write out a firm bid for you to look over.
Why don’t you give over-the-phone estimates for troubleshooting jobs?
Because of the complex nature of electrical systems, there are many possible things that could be causing a seemingly simple issue. Each of these takes a completely different amount of time to correct. If your pool light stops working one day, for example, the first thing to check would be the switch. If it is broken, it is a simple one-hour job involving an inexpensive part. If it turns out that it’s the fixture itself or the circuit breaker that is broken, the parts are much more expensive. It could even be something such as the wire that brings electricity to the light fixture. This would require us to cut into the concrete, dig up the wire and replace it with new components. The costs on a job that extensive add up quickly.
Unfortunately in most repair situations, the issue does not always indicate the underlying cause. If there is any more work to be done after the first hour of troubleshooting, we will let you know before continuing with the job.
What’s different about an estimate and a bid?
If you want to install a new electrical component, such as an electrical panel, we are able to provide an Estimate by phone without coming to see the full job first. If you agree to the estimate and want to move forward, we will then set an appointment for one of our electricians to come see the job. After an electrician has assessed the full job and determined all of the details, we will provide you with a firm written bid. A bid is a firm price that will not change. There are no hidden costs or surprises.
How do I start?
For an Estimate, just give us a call. We’ll look forward to hearing from you.
